"Cody" Partners With The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Fundraiser

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Rhode Island is conducting their annual Man or Woman of the Year campaign.  Twenty percent of proceeds from sales of "Cody the Cloud" directly through this website through April 25th will go toward LLS if you specify that is the charity you would like a portion of your proceeds to go to, and, if you are doing so in support of a particular Man or Woman of the Year candidate, by e-mailing Kevin at CodyTheCloudBook@gmail.com and telling him which candidate you would like your purchase to help support.  Or, if you would rather give more to LLS, take the money you would have spent buying "Cody" and instead donate it to LLS directly at one of the below links so your donation goes even further!  Thanks to LLS and my sister-in-law, Carla Buonaccorsi Mulhern, for all of their hard work to end blood cancers.  Here are the two links  to donate to the cause:

Wheelchair Ramp Van Needed For Local Boy: Cody Charity of the Week: 3/1/15

Instead of buying a copy of "Cody the Cloud" this week, please take the $15 you would have spent on the book (as I can only give a portion of the proceeds to the weekly charity due to publisher royalties) and instead send that $15 directly to the fund for Benjamin McDermott, who has spinal muscular atrophy, and who needs a wheelchair ramp van that costs $40,000.  They have already raised $12,000 for the cause, but need more help.  CLICK HERE for the GoFundMe link for Benjamin's family's cause, and listen to Kevin being interviewed about the book on iHeartMedia's "Infonation" program with Bill George at the audio link above.  The interview will air Sunday morning, 3/1, at 7 a.m. on Coast 93.3, 94.1 WHJY, and Oldies B101.

"Reading With Robin" Host Robin K. To Do "Cody" Reading At Warwick Mall!

"Reading With Robin" radio host Robin Kall will be reading "Cody the Cloud" to attendees at the NEARI "Read Across America" event at the Warwick Mall (Center Court) on Saturday, February 28th.  She will read "Cody" at noon, and "Cody" author Kevin Mulhern will attend the event as well.  Robin says she hand-picked "Cody the Cloud" out of numerous books to read at the event due to the book's positive message about not bullying others and in believing in oneself.  See her wonderful review of "Cody" on the "Reviews" page on this site.  Kevin is beyond honored to have Robin endorse his book and to do a public reading of it, as Robin is such an esteemed literary figure.  Visit the "Reading with Robin" website HERE, and tune into "Reading with Robin" radio Fridays from 4-5 p.m. on AM 790 and on iHeartRadio.  And for more information on "Read Across America", click HERE
